Long Term and Post Acute Care Advisory Task Force
In an effort to provide broad provider, industry and government strategic guidance for its new Long Term and Post Acute Care certification development, the Certification Commission assembled a special LTPAC Advisory Task Force. This volunteer task force, composed of representatives with skilled nursing facility, assisted living, home care, hospice, health information technology and public payer experience, assisted the Commission in assessing the current landscape and advising on the appropriate direction and scope of work for the LTPAC Work Group. They delivered their recommendations to the Commission and the Work Group prior to the initiation of development work begun in July 2009 for a certification program launch in July 2010. The work of this advisory group concluded in July 2009.
