Certifying Ambulatory, Child Health and Cardiovascular EHR educational sessions

Prepare for CCHIT Certified® 08 Ambulatory, Child Health, and Cardiovascular EHR certification

  • Are you uncertain about how to guide your organization’s product certification process?
  • Are you unsure about your product’s readiness for certification testing?
  • Are you having difficulty understanding the criteria and test steps?

About the program

Based upon HIT vendor request and two years of certification testing experience, the Certification Commission has designed an educational program to answer these questions. The purpose of this interactive, online seminar is to help you and others on your team understand the certification process and use the certification program tools effectively.

Using the CCHIT Certified 08 Ambulatory EHR certification materials, the Commission’s certification program staff will walk you through all aspects of the application and testing process. Whether you are managing your first product certification or a product recertification, you’ll have an opportunity to step through the CCHIT Certified 08 test scripts including new interoperability criteria, and updated functionality and security criteria. This 8-hour, 3-part Web seminar will provide you with an immersion in the tools available for certification preparation and an in-depth knowledge of how to use them. And you will be able to ask your own questions.

Objectives

Following the completion of this program, you will be prepared to lead your certification team through readiness evaluation, application, test preparation and final jury inspection.

You will be able to:

  • Describe the CCHIT certification program – its place in the HIT marketplace, its requirements, and the development of the criteria and test scripts, including a future roadmap
  • Evaluate your product’s readiness for testing
  • Explain the criteria and testing methods used for clinical functionality, including the new child health and cardiovascular medicine endorsement options
  • Explain the criteria and testing methods used for interoperability, including the new Continuity of Care Document (CCD) requirements
