The Certification Commission would like to invite all Ambulatory EHR vendors to attend a Town Call teleconference on Tuesday, September 9 to discuss the Ambulatory EHR 08 ePrescribing criteria, test scripts, and the alternate paths by which vendors may comply.

Join Dr. Mark Leavitt, chair of the Commission, and the Certification Program staff to discuss this topic and understand your options for complying with the 08 ePrescribing requirements.

Recent legislation tying Medicare physician reimbursement to the use of ePrescribing has increased the importance of having full ePrescribing capability in EHRs.  At the same time, a merger of the two largest ePrescribing networks has had an impact on the steps for obtaining certification.

The CCHIT Town Call to discuss CCHIT Town Call: ePrescribing Testing for Ambulatory EHR 08 Certification will be led by Dr. Mark Leavitt. A short presentation will be followed by an operator-guided question and answer session.

Instructions for Joining a Town Call

  1. Dial in 10 minutes prior to ensure prompt start times, and provide your name to the operator.
  2. Download the Town Call presentation (coming soon) prior to the start of the call. It will be referenced during the call.

  4. The Town Call will offer a Question & Answer session. Participant lines will be muted, then during the Q&A Session the operator will instruct the audience how to queue up for questions. Please identify yourself and your organization.
