CCHIT Town Call: Aligning with HHS Criteria and Standards
Entitled “Health Information Technology: Initial Set of Standards, Implementation Specifications, and Certification Criteria for Electronic Health Record Technology,” the Interim Final Rule (IFR) by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) was officially published on January 13 and becomes effective on February 12, 2010. The Commission plans to reopen testing against these updated Meaningful Use Stage 1 criteria by February 12.
On January 26, 2010, the Commission held a Town Call, a free Web-based teleconference open to all, to discuss the changes in its programs and take questions.
