Interoperable EHRs require a structure for sharing information—a secure network. With the guidance of the work groups, the HIE Work Group is tasked with initiating the development of criteria and tests for these emerging health information exchanges.

Members

In July 2007, a new HIE Work Group was formed. Composed of a variety of healthcare professionals and stakeholders, the group will foster the development of the criteria for certifying the HIEs that join systems together. Review the HIE Work Group members.
