As we approach the end of the annual certification cycle, the group is working to finalize its materials for CCHIT Certified 08 efforts, reviewing new volunteer applicants, and preparing to engage in CCHIT Certified 09 efforts.

Members

In July 2007, a new Interoperability Expert Panel was formed. Composed of a variety of healthcare professionals and stakeholders, the group will foster the development of the certification criteria for interoperable healthcare information technology. Minutes

The Interoperability Expert Panel keeps running minutes of each meeting. Minutes are pubished for public consumption on a regular basis. Minutes dates may trail calendar dates by several weeks, due to approval cycles. Review the Interoperability Expert Panel meeting minutes.

Ensuring that EHR products and networks can share data compatibly is one of the primary goals of certification – and the public and private heath IT communities. The Interoperability Expert Panel works with all CCHIT Work Groups to recommend criteria and testing that ensures data portability.
