Volunteer to work with the Certification Commission

The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology is pleased to announce that the next application period for Work Group volunteers is now open. Volunteer applications will be accepted until May 4, 2008.

Volunteers on all existing Work Groups need to re-apply for the Work Group(s) and roles they are interested in joining (except for members of the current Network/HIE Work Group, who will be continuing their work through September 2008).  There will also be several new Work Groups formed to address the Commission’s continued expansion to new domains.  Both new and returning volunteers are welcome to apply for one or more groups and roles within the organization.

How to apply using the online form

All applicants will be expected to submit applications using the online form. The form has been designed to guide you through the application process.

There are two important features to note.

saving and editing your application

To establish a user name and password that will allow you to revise and edit your application prior to its submission, look to the upper-right corner of the form, select the check box, and provide the requested information.

Saving your form

When returning to the form, click "resume a previously saved form" to enter your login credentials and retrieve your information.

applying to multiple work groups

The Certification Commission encourages applicants to volunteer for all of the Work Groups that meet their interests and skills. To apply for more than one Work Group, look to the lower-left corner of the "Work Group application" section for "Click here to apply to another Work Group."
