Security Expert Panel public comment

The first draft of the Security Test Scripts for 2008 respresents the cumulative work of work groups and expert panels. This is the first draft of the 2008 test script which will be finalized in May 2008. The script will be further refined and published as a final draft prior to the final certification criteria for 2008 being released.

During the draft criteria development efforts, the work group focused on:

  • Reviewing and updating existing 2007 criteria
  • Updating previously published roadmap criteria
  • Developing recommendations for new criteria for 2008, 2009, and 2010 and beyond

The public comment period is open.

To participate in the public comment process

  1. Carefully review the material above. If you have extensive comments, you are encouraged to prepare those comments in advance. Associate each comment with the specific line number for the item. (NOTE: Each work group has a unique set of line numbers assigned to its work products. For Security work products, those numbers begin with 10000 (ten thousand).)

  2. Click here to register to submit comments. You will be prompted to create a User Name and Password. (NOTE: If you have registered to submit comments during a previous round, your User Name and Password are still active. Please skip this step.)  Make a note of these as you will need them if you wish to update or add to your comments later. You will receive an email immediately after registration, confirming your User Name and Password.

  3. Click here to log in with your User Name and Password to submit comments. Once you have logged in, you will see a list (initially empty) of all comments you have submitted. From this list, you can add a new comment as well as edit or delete any previously entered comment. You may return as many times as necessary during the comment period (until February 16, 2008) to add or update your comments.

Should you forget your password, you can use this form to retrieve it. If you have other technical difficulties, please describe them in an email to info@cchit.org.  If you prefer to send a letter with your comments, please direct it to that email address with the subject "Public Comments."
